HIGH POWER DYNAMOMETERS FOR TESTING PISTON, TURBINE AND ELECTRIC PRIME MOVERS FOR THE MARINE INDUSTRY

Gambar
testingindonesia.com Froude produces low-speed, very high power dynamometers for use with steam turbine and gearbox applications as well as for capital ship and cathedral engines. In fact, we are world leaders in the design and production of large dynamometers for testing piston, turbine and electric prime movers for the marine industry. We have a unique design which allows for simplified maintenance and vastly reduced installation time. The LS casing is carried on three spherically pivoted struts which incorporate load cells and hydraulic positioning rams, allowing the dynamometer to be quickly and easily coupled directly to the engine. This mechanism eliminates the need for an expensive intermediate drive shaft. As the dynamometer is free to follow the engine, there is reduced axial thrust; hence no special thrust bearing requirements. The lack of conventional trunnion bearings means the associated problem of brinelling due to transmission of engine vibration, has been totally

AEROSPACE AND TURBINE TEST EQUIPMENT

Gambar
testingindonesia.com The Froude HS range of Aerospace and Gas Turbine Engine  Test Equipment has been developed over the years to meet the needs of testing new engines in R&D facilities. These state-of-the-art products are utilized in subsequent production facilities and the engine overhaul sector. SPESIFIKASI Description The high speed dynamometers are fitted with two half couplings which, with the rotor, are oil injected onto the shaft. High speed machines have oil mist lubricated bearings. The dynamometer working compartment consists of special semi-circular shaped vanes cast into stainless steel rotor and stators. Water flowing in a toroidal vortex pattern around these vanes creates a torque reaction through the dynamometer casing which is resisted and measured by a precision load cell. The dynamometer load is controlled by a 'characterized' water outlet valve, operated by a closed loop electro-hydraulic servo system. The power abs

FROUDE INVENTED THE WATER BRAKE DYNAMOMETERS

testingindonesia.com The Froude F Range Hydraulic dynamometers (also referred to as water brakes) have been designed to be compact, robust and to allow easy maintenance. Some of these models are available with a streamlined, fabricated base. This base is not only ultra durable due to the powder coating process, but also offers flexibility with water inlet/outlet placement and lifting eye locations. These engine dynos are fitted with two half couplings which, with the rotor, are oil injected onto the shaft. The standard machines run in grease lubricated rolling element bearings. AC DYNAMOMETERS

Gambar
The Froude AC dynamometer has been specifically designed for the testing of gasoline and diesel engines in R & D and Quality Audit applications.   Low inertia AC motor with standard speed ranges from 3,500 rpm to 10,000 rpm Standard torque hub measurement accuracy is +/-0.2% of the full rated torque of the dynamometer Speed is measured to an accuracy of +/- 1 rpm testingindonesia.com      SPESIFIKASI       Description The AC dynamometer is constructed using a low inertia AC motor especially designed for engine test applications mounted on a substantial fabricated baseframe. On foot mounted versions torque is measured using an in-line torque hub. For trunnion mounted machines a precision strain gauge load cell is used. As an option both versions can include an integrated jackshaft that provides additional overhung load capacity for the engine drive shaft.                 Froude AC       Dynamometer Heat gen

EDDY CURRENT DYNAMOMETERS

The Air Gap (AG) range of Eddy Current Dynamometers has been designed to be compact, robust and to allow easy maintenance. The narrow yet durable design, small footprint, and the exclusive material and construction technique ensures many years of service. These units are bi-directional, fitted with 40,000-hour bearings and extremely accurate (0.25% Full Scale Torque).  Each eddy current dynamometer is fitted with oil injected half couplings at either end of a non-magnetic stainless steel shaft which is supported in grease lubricated, deep groove ball bearings. The non-magnetic shaft means negligible magnetic field dispersion. The dynamometer casing houses twin magnetizing coils that produce a retarding controllable magnetic field that resists the applied torque. Heat generated in this process is dissipated by cooling water testingindonesia.com Spesifikasi:  Description The Air Gap range of Eddy Current Dynamometers has been designed to be compact, robust and to all

SF-1600 VALVE SPRING TESTER

Gambar
Overview testingindonesia.com The SF-1600 system automatically applies and releases load to your preset limits. Every spring test can be stored for further analysis. Acceptable limits can be preset for simple go/no-go sorting of springs. Repeatable automatic smooth action testing is the same for every spring. All apspects of rating a set of springs can be preset prior to testing and evaluating SuperFlow® has removed the “Human Error Factor” from valve spring analysis. Utilizing computer control the SuperFlow 1600 applies the same pressure, stroke and distrance every time. A heavy-duty pneumatic cylinder provides smooth precise motion unlike gear type testers that have spikes each time a tooth comes into contact effecting the accuracy and repeatability of the measurement and data.

DTS POWERMARK DATA ACQUISITION UPGRADE

Gambar
Overview testingindonesia.com The DTS Powermark engine dynamometer carries a reputation as the most durable water brake engine dynamometer available. Most DTS Powermark customers have operated their dynos for 20+ years without replacing a bearing or seal in the absorber and as a result these dynamometers command a premium on the used market. The problem is the data acquisition system was designed in 1988 with components from the early 1980s so it lacks features and capacity to adequately test modern engines and the majority of the electrical components required to service the data acquisition and control system are no longer available. To help, we’ve developed a conversion kit to replace the dated DTS Powermark electronics with our latest WinDyn 3.2 data acquisition and control system. This upgrade allows DTS dyno owners to keep the functional mechanical portion of their dynos and upgrade to the latest WinDyn data acquisition and control system making the dyno perform like a
